Morning,

I hope your week is off to a good start!

I wanted to spend time this week sharing a few resources that have been significant in my walk with God and my bible studies. If you’re struggling with reading the word or just want additional insight from theologians, scholars or other Christians, here are some I find helpful:

  1. YouVersion Bible App
    • This app provides the bible, study plans, and study resources for free on your phone or digital tablet. It also stores multiple versions of the bible in over 50 languages so you’re sure to find something that suits your needs.
  2. Gotquestions.org
    • This site has written over 5,000 articles related to questions Christians have. If you’re struggling with making sense of scripture, they can be helpful in helping you understand the verse or passage
  3. Bible Art
    • If you love art, or like seeing illustrations of the bible, Bible Art is fun to go through. They provide illustrations of scripture and explain or describe the meaning of the verse
  4. The Bible Project
    • This one is like Bible Art in the sense that they create educational videos/ art pieces to explain books of the bible. They have lots of free resources to help you experience the bible in a creative, cool, and unique way. It’s a great balance with reading the bible.
  5. The Bible Recap
    • The Bible Recap does a good job of encouraging you to read the bible.
  6. A Christian Podcast with Kevin Wilson
    • This is one of my favorite podcasts to listen to around the house or while running errands, there’s always a good gem being dropped! If you’re searching for fellowship, podcasts are a good way to transition into the Christian community and are helpful as an additional resource while you’re searching for local groups or churches. They’re also edifying to listen to just because :).
  7. Melody Alisa
    • I came across her channel last year. It’s a fun and aesthetically-pleasing channel that reflects God’s word. She also has short videos where she breaks down a theme or passage of scripture she wants to discuss.
  8. Coffee and Bible Time
    • This channel and family are cozy to watch. They provide a mixture of bible studies, discussions, and day-in-the-life vlogs. Their channel really embodies the heart of Christ.
  9. Blue Letter Bible
    • This site provides very in-depth bible study tools you can dive into, including commentaries from notable bible scholars.

*In addition, I have two PDFs I’ve created to help you pray under the resources section of my blog. Feel free to download them if you need help praying with scripture or would like to learn how to pray using the psalms

Comment your favorite resources below!

Sincerely,

Anne
