Morning,

This week for our ‘resources sharing’ month, I wanted to provide a list of national and international organizations that you can support for the summer and beyond.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Matthew 5:14-16 (ESV)

In addition, here are some things to look for when supporting a Christian organization:

  • Their charity rating:
  • Their transparency with the work they are doing:
    • It aligns with their mission statement.
    • They have a shared and visible impact on the communities they’re serving.
    • They have consistent outreach efforts.
  • Their stewardship:
    • They are transparent with their financial strategies.
    • They value, respect, and cherish the communities they serve.
    • They value and cherish their donors and those serving on behalf of their organizations.
    • They provide clarity in displaying how they’re efficient.
  • Their leadership:
    • They have a Board of Directors or senior leadership that provides a check-and-balances system.

I hope this is helpful for you. Please make sure to share your recommended charities in the comment section.

Regular posting starts again on Monday, August 5th. I look forward to sharing Chapter 20 with you! 🙂

Sincerely,
