Morning,

My new PDF guide, Understanding The Holy Spirit, will be made available on Friday, November 29th, 2024 at 6PM. To access it, you’ll need to go in the ‘Resources’ section of the blog and download your free copy. My hope is that this guide helps us in drawing closer to The Holy Spirit and leaning on Him to walk in the strength and peace that God offers to His children.

“The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
John 14:26 (NIV)

With that said, last week was an especially hard week for myself and other Americans. I don’t have the words to articulate how devastating the week was for so many. I encourage us to remain in prayer and to trust that God will see us through. The following scripture are good ones to reflect on:

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28 (ESV)

The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Exodus 14:14 (NIV)

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”
Psalm 34:19 (ESV)

In addition to this, the book of Habakkuk is a great book to study if you’re struggling to make sense with how God is moving in the state of the world today. Habakkuk was a prophet who questioned God’s goodness in a time of uncertainty and political/civil unrest. The book reflected on whether God is good and just in a time when life or the world seems unjust and unfair. Our questions and concerns are validated by other biblical individuals who have gone through similar walks as us. God encourages us in His word to seek Him and to ask those hard questions.

Wresting with God is a part of the Christian walk, so I encourage us to bring our thoughts, questions, and even doubts directly to God as Habakkuk the prophet did.

Sincerely,

Anne
